History

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission Federal Credit Union (WSSC FCU) was chartered in May, 1964 with an initial asset base of
$2,000.  Since then, the Credit Union has grown to $22,000,000 in assets with over 2,800 members.

The WSSC FCU is a member owned Credit Union whose purpose is to provide its members with financial products characterized by outstanding service.

We offer a complete array of deposit services; savings accounts, checking accounts, Holiday Savers accounts and special savings accounts.  Electronic services such as ATM, ACH, VISA Debit ,Audio Response, and Internet Banking provide easy access to your accounts.  In June of 2013 we joined the Co-Op Shared Branch Network, which gives our member access to over 5,000 additional branches nationwide.  We also offer competitive rates for many types of loans such as signature, vehicle and home equity.

Who Can Join ?

Individuals who work for or have retired from the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission qualify for Credit Union membership.  Parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings and spouses of members are also qualified.  Individuals residing in the same residence as a member may can join.  WSSC Contractors and Licensed Plumber or Gas Fitters may also join.
